Stages of PTSD Coping With a Slip in Recovery

Stages of PTSD â€" Coping With a Slip in Recovery PTSD Coping Print Stages of PTSD â€" Coping With a Slip in Recovery You Can Bounce Back After Returning to Unhealthy Habits By Matthew Tull, PhD twitter Matthew Tull, PhD is a professor of psychology at the University of Toledo, specializing in post-traumatic stress disorder. Learn about our editorial policy Matthew Tull, PhD Updated on October 01, 2018 Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Overview Symptoms & Diagnosis Causes & Risk Factors Treatment Living With In Children Kevork Djansezian/Staff/Getty Images One of the common stages of PTSD  is a slip in recovery. Recovering from PTSD can often be a long journey â€" so dont judge yourself too harshly if youve slipped. Instead, learn how to get back on track. What Happens When People With PTSD Have a Slip in Recovery? People who have a diagnosis of PTSD are at greater risk of engaging in a number of unhealthy behaviors in an attempt to cope with their emotional pain. These can include: alcohol and drug abuseeating disorder behavior (for example, binge eating)deliberate self-harm These behaviors are not easy to stop because they often serve a very important purpose for a person with PTSD. In the short-term, they may help a person escape the frequent, intense and unpleasant thoughts and emotions that occur with PTSD. Even with the best intentions and coping skills, a person recovering from PTSD may find that under periods of high stress they may slip and start engaging in one of these behaviors again. Again, slipping back into these behaviors is a common stage of PTSD. All is not lost! There are ways of coping with a slip so that you can quickly get back on your road to recovery. How You Can Stop the Behavior   Obviously, this is the most important step - and the hardest. Its incredibly important to do whatever you can to stop the unhealthy behavior as soon as you catch yourself doing it. This is because it can be very easy to fall back into old patterns of behavior, and the more that you engage in that behavior, the stronger that habit is going to become. Here are strategies that work: View it as a slip, not a failure. One way that might make it easier to stop the behavior is by viewing it as only a slip or a temporary misstep and not an indication of failure or a sign that there is no hope for recovery. During recovery, its common for people to set hard and fast rules for themselves, such as I will never have another drink again. This may be a great goal. However, it may not always be realistic, especially for the person who is in the early stages of recovery from PTSD.  When you set black-and-white rules for yourself, youre more likely to beat yourself up about a slip, and this is probably only going to motivate the very behavior you are trying to stop. As a result, you may lose control over the behavior and fall farther and farther off track.Avoid your triggers. If youre in a situation that is promoting your unhealthy behavior (for example, youre in a bar while youre trying to stop drinking), get out of that situation as soon as you can. It will be very importan t to remove yourself from any triggers or cues for that behavior (or the emotions that contribute to that behavior) that are in your environment.Put into action a healthy coping strategy. For example, seek out social support or use distraction. Try some self-soothing exercises or mindfulness. These may be very hard to do during a crisis situation, and you may not feel as though theyre working that well. However, it is very important to keep using those healthy coping strategies. The more you do, the more distance you will put between yourself and your unhealthy behavior. Learning From Your Experience A slip can provide you with incredibly important information that can serve you well in the future. When you slip, conduct a chain analysis. Ask yourself: What were the factors that led to that behavior? How did I get put into a high-risk situation? Conducting a chain analysis for the unhealthy behavior may help you identify seemingly irrelevant decisions. Seemingly irrelevant decisions are decisions or choices we make that, on the surface, may appear unimportant or insignificant. We may also ignore, deny or explain away the importance of them. But in actuality, they move you farther down the road to a slip. For example, for a person who is trying to stop engaging in deliberate self-harm, a seemingly irrelevant decision might be keeping items around that were once used to self-harm. Recognizing seemingly irrelevant decisions, as well as other factors or situations that put you at risk for your unhealthy behavior, will help you prepare for future high-risk situations. You can now ask yourself: What could I have done differently? How early could I have intervened to reduce my risk for engaging in the behavior? Practice Self-Compassion Changing unhealthy behaviors is not an easy thing to do, especially when you may also be struggling with symptoms of PTSD. Because of this, treat yourself with understanding and self-compassion if you slip. Use the misstep as an opportunity to further build and strengthen your coping repertoire. Doing this can help you get back on track and move you down the road to recovery. The 9 Best Online Therapy Programs

The Tragic Hero Of Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart

Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, defines a tragic hero â€Å"as a person of noble or high status who displays a tragic flaw hamartia, and experiences a dramatic reversal peripateia. In addition, his downfall is often preceded by self-realization†. In Things Fall Apart, the author uses Okonkwo, to illustrate the downfall of pre-colonial Ibo society. In the beginning, Okonkwo was destined for greatness. He was strong, economically stable, and had a huge influence over the village’s affairs. One may say that he was the perfect man to be the hero of his people. However, Aristotle stated that â€Å"a man does not become a hero until he can see the root of his own downfall.† Okonkwo, unfortunately, couldn’t become the hero he was destined to be. Not only does he allowed his own flaws: irrational anger, and hubris to dominate his life, but he became so obsessed over trying to kill the whites that he couldn’t see and accept that his village was changing. In the end, Okonkwo commits suicide after realizing his clan would not fight with him against the colonists. He was alone and no longer in control and that devastated him. Okonkwo inability to overcome his ignorance as well as his own internal conflicts ultimately leads to his tragic fate, embodying him as a classic Aristotle tragic hero. The Risk Profile Of Abc Company Essay - 1540 Words

I have been hired as the controller of ABC Company, and the CEO has set a target sales goal of 3 million in annual sales over the next three years. The three million dollar sales objective is more than double where the company is at in sales today. This is an aggressive strategy which needs to be examined in terms of its perceived risk factors. There are several factors that impact the success of this strategy, and those risks will be discussed here. The Risk Profile of ABC Company The first and most obvious risk is that the new product(s) will not meet the expectations of the customers. Another risk that is involved is that once the new product line is launched, local competitors may introduce it into their product line as well. A risk that also should be considered is how the new product line will impact the cost of production. New products are going to require new raw materials that are provided by suppliers. Will the same suppliers that are used with the company today be able to be utilized for the new materials or will new contracts with different suppliers be needed? The CEO wants to utilize some of the scrap resources that ABC already possesses, but it is unlikely that this amount of material will be enough to depend on solely. An Analysis of the Central Themes of The Bhagavad Gita and its Influence on Significant Historical Figures and Literature. The less you have, then the less you have to worry about. The Yoga part of â€Å"Yoga and Renunciation† means that it’s not enough o know and agree with this concept of living free from the material, you have to actually do it if you want to live a strew free life full of inner peace. Many of the world’s most influential thinkers knew this and routinely put it into play in their daily lives. Confucious said in his Analects â€Å"The Master said, Incomparable was Hui! A handful of rice to eat, a gourd full of water to drink, living in a mean street--others would have found it unendurably depressing, but to Huis cheerfulness it made no difference at all. They will accept to convey this accomplishment into the plan if it is necessary. In my category, all pupils have graduated university before. They have adequate ability to analyze the new accomplishments. And they besides have inducements to seek to use it because of their good consequences. Therefore, it will be support by the pupils of my category. The 3rd issue is experimental method. Detect the universe, you can see that many states have use it into their class. My class can be analyze the experience of that states. With it ‘s ability, the class director can seek to ask for the instructor from that states to learn for this topic. And pupil can analyze about the theory of critical thought and utilize it for all of topics in the plan and for their life subsequently. That ‘s is why using critical thought can be perform from experience of other states in the universe. Beside of that, because critical thought aid people to believe and work efficaciously, it will assist all critical mind salvage the clip they spend for work. Therefore, pupils in my category can use this accomplishment, they will hold more clip for analyzing or other activities. When critical thought have taught in my category, I suggest some ways that the pupils can use it. The most basic type of critical thought is cognizing how to listen to a talk actively instead than passively. The pupils have to recognize it is of import and carry out it. A good book to read is How to Speak, How to Listen by Mortimer J. Adler. In category, pupils should inquire inquiry. Questions from pupils mean they are believing critically about what instructor are stating. After category, they should reexamine about the lesson and take note what they do non understand. In their instance, it will assist to better authorship accomplishment, a portion of critical thought. Students have to analyze the manner to transform the information and do it their ain by practising paraphrasis, sum up, or sketch all reading assignments. Writing forces them to form their ideas and believe critically about the stuff. They should pattern critical thought accomplishment in mathematic ( assist them believing about nature and world in empirical and quantitative footings ) , in term paper ( necessitating that they get, synthesise, and logically analyze information, and that they so present this information and their decisions in written signifier ) The last 1 is use critical thought in multiple pick reply and pattern their head to believe as critical manner. Finally, I perfectly agree to use critical thought accomplishment into my category because it help all pupils improve their ability in analyzing, in life with scientific discipline analyzing method. With this accomplishment, I believe that the pupils in my category will analyze better than in the yesteryear and they will hold clip to make more things they like. Sexual Appeal Approach in Product Promotion

Question: Discuss about theSexual Appeal Approach in Product Promotion. Answer: Introduction: The sexual appeal approach in product promotion is referred to the eroticized imagery of women to provoke the ego of men and entice them for purchasing the products. This particular business approach is so pervasive that it uses women model to expose some curvature of their posteriors to attract more customer for their business. The sexual appeal approach has been trend for product promotion activities across the world for a long time. This particular marketing strategy has been implemented in the sport promotion of International market. In this context, this article aims to discuss the background of sexual appeal approach in product promotion. It also indicates the ethical consideration of implementing the sexual appeal approach. In addition, it also identifies the implementation practice concerning the sex appeal approach in India. Furthermore, it reveals the implications of sexual appeal approach in product promotion in India. Background of the Sex Appeal in Product Promotion: The sexual appeal approach has been used in the product promotion since the last quarter of 18th century. The major tools for using the sexual appeal approach have been illustration of attractive women as well as woodcuts. Generally, it has been identified that tobacco, tonics as well as saloons brands implemented this marketing strategy in a significant fashion. It was claimed by various companies that the sexual appeal has a tremendous influence on increasing the sales as well as consumer interest (Wee, Choong Tambyah, 1995). For instance, the earliest use of sex appeal was conducted by the Pearl Tobacco brand in the year of 1871. It offered sexually provoking trading cards inside the W. Duke Sons cigarette packet, which transformed the company in to leading brand within two decades. There has been lots of other implementation of sex appeal approach conducted by sex and soap, condom, garments companies. The major examples are promotion of Woodburys Facial Soap, KamaSutra condom, Benetton garments and Calvin Klein jeans Company (Adhikari, 2016). After this long journey of two centuries the sexual appeal approach is still proved as most significant marketing strategy for communicating with the market place. Ethical Consideration of Using Sex Appeal in Product Promotion: It is commonly considered that the marketing is highly dependent on unethical practice. The complexity of this particular discussion gets a notch higher when the sex appeal approach is mixed with the teen segment. In the current world of literacy the advertisements are not judged based on philosophical statement but the associated complaint or feedback (Putrevu, Swimberghek, 2013). Therefore, the advertisers must develop their product promotion according to the ethical judgment of the society. In the Indian market it has been noticed that women are still represented as the dormant character in the advertisement. The advertisers must keep in mind that the sexual superiority indication is offense to the women right. As media plays a significant role in the societys perception development they cannot use women as mare sex object in their product promotion (Peloza, White Shang, 2013). In addition to that, the advertisers must not use women for just creating a sexual allure to the product promotion. Furthermore, the advertise practitioner has no control over the watching audiences. Therefore, they should not include sexual innuendo in the teen segment as it will provide a wrong indication in this cognitive development stage. Sex Appeal Implementation Practice in Product Promotion in India: The study on the sexual appeal implementation practice in India reveals that the women have been noticed to be used in household, bathroom and kitchen product promotion as a main character (Shimp Andrews, 2012). However, the on-camera representatives of the product as well as voice-overs are male. On the one hand, the male are observe to represent the authoritative as well as independent roles whereas the female were presented as dormant character in the advertisement. Moreover, it has been observed that females are observed to obtain approval from family members whereas the male are noted to gain approval from their friends. It clearly indicates an attempt to establish the gender superiority in Indian society that often misguided the consumers as they consider it natural order of the society (Percy Rosenbaum-Elliott, 2016). It has been also observed that majority of the advertisement tend to portray the female character as a sex object or a means of stroking the ego of the consume rs. In most of time the advertisement uses women for recreational purpose rather than decorative purpose. However, the contemporary argument has forced the companies to use the women in more authoritative role, albeit it is limited to the female used products promotions. Sex Appeal Implication in Product Promotion in India: The advertising industry highly emphasize on the proverb sex sell that establishes the importance as well as dependence of product promotion on the sexual appeal approach. The extensive study on the consumer behavior has explicitly indicated that majority of the consumers get aroused from the product promotion that has used sexual appeal approach. It is observed that this arousal creates a high recognition of the sexual content associated with the product promotion and thereby the brand (Bharti Kumar, 2016). This recognition ultimately generates the sales of the product. However, it is argued by (Shanthi Thiyagarajan, 2012) that despite the high sales the consumer focus on remembering the brand itself not for its feature but its sexual advertisement. It apparently deludes the importance of the product while maintaining the image of sexual innuendo. The current study on the consumer reaction reveals that the young women compare them with the models of the advertisement. The idealized images of will definitely lower their self-satisfaction and raise the standard of their physical attractiveness. In addition to that, it is observed that the young men and women immensely perceive the advertisement scenario as the proper order society context. Therefore, the use of dormant role will hinder the position of women in the society. Indian Regulation Regarding Sexual Approach in Product Promotion: The regulation regarding the sexual appeal approach as the product promotion is highly vague and confusing in India. On the one hand the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act 1986 restricts the advertisers to use women in any advertising scene for creating vulgar and obscene role (Eko, 2016). On the other hand, it also offers the scope for the creative advertisers to use women as an icon of dormant sex object in the product promotion. The advertisement in India is mainly monitored by Board of Censors before realizing. Censor only focus on the use of sexual scenes in advertisement in terms of their relevance with the advertisement theme at a whole (Trehan Singh, 2013). This particular condition presents a great opportunity for the sensitive as well as serious minded aesthetic advertisement creator to construct a turnaround way to use women for the same purpose. The Censor in India fails to perceive that media just have to indicate their message as opposed to directly exposing the women to nudity and vulgar role. In t has been observed that advertisers more often overlook the contemporary societal norms as well as changing value system at the time of following sex appeal approach of product promotion (Nettelhorst Brannon, 2012). Recommended Practice in Sexual Approach in Product Promotion: It is highly important to apprise the audiences in the case of putting sexual innuendo in the advertisement. The moral intricacy of sexual appeal approach must be recognized by the advertising practitioners as well as media. In this situation, the advertisers need to integrate this facet of fact at the time of developing this commercial promotion. In this context (Wolf, 2013) argued that the ethical consideration is flowing concept and it can transform with the passing of time. Therefore, it is evident that the appropriateness as well as acceptance of the sexual appeal approach in the society must also transform along with the perspective of the society members or audiences. Considering the above facts it can be assumed that the most ethically sound practice would be first review the perception of the base audience. It will evidently help the advertisers to understand the proper guideline at the time of developing advertisement. Moreover, it has been also considered that in the contemporary world the men and women are free to make their choice independently, fairly as well as equally. Therefore, the advertisement practitioners must not indicate any sexual dominance or superiority in their commercial promotion. Conclusion: It can be observed from the above-discussed article that product promotion is significant part of developing the perception of the consumers. It not only creates the preference of the customer with respect to products but also the societal order. The female are often used in the advertisement as a dormant character as well as sex object to create sexual energy among the customer. This sexual energy develops significant product recognition among the consumers. As the censor mostly focuses on the obscene footage on the product promotion, the advertisers tend to create sexual innuendo for the same purpose. It hinders the societal position of the women and creates negative impact on the young customers. The advertisers should follow a more ethical approach by using women in more authoritative role and shunning the sexual appeal approach from the marketing practices. Reference List: Adhikari, H. Construction Management

Question: Development of thesis on Safety measures in India Vs Australia in construction field. I have the first assessment. Second assessment is all about developing the thesis more accurately and explaining everything about the thesis excluding the references and bibliography. Answer: Introduction Working on this project has been a great experience that could further help me in the academic career. I have gone through different topics that are related to risks associated with construction work. However, the topic of current research is partially different, which provides me an opportunity to gain new knowledge. I hardly knew about health and safety measures at the workplace but the current research helped me to gain a large amount of knowledge in required health and safety measures. In addition, the completion of the research increases my knowledge in research methodology. Moreover, I have developed my knowledge in different areas of research such as data collection, selecting of methodology, hypothesis testing, forming objectives, conceptual framework, and other areas. I have realized construction industry is one of the growing industries, which covers wide operations. While analyzing the existing literature I have understood that technological advancement is one of the significant requirements as most of the operations done in the construction industry are risky or hazardous and require plenty of human efforts. Thus, it is necessary for the organizations in the construction industry should focus on adopting new technology. Technology can do most of the risky operations. Another significant area, which should be considered carefully, is the risk assessment. The collection of data helps me to realize how employee turnover rate is comparatively in the construction industry than any other industry. I have also observed that a number of organizations that provide health and safety measures at the workplace in the construction industry are comparatively low. Thus, it is important to provide health and safety measures to workers of the construction industry. While collecting the secondary, I have observed that multiple types of researches have been conducted on the operations of the construction industry that cover the area such as the impact of risks, factors influencing the development and other factors. However, hardly any research is performed on the importance of health and safety measures at the workplace. Thus, it was necessary to conduct a research on health and safety measures. I have identified that by providing health and safety measures, the organizations in construction industry decrease the rate of employee turnover. The critical discussion made in the literature review indicates that the number of accidents and fatalities are gradually increasing. An increased number of workers every day are leaving the work due to potential risks associated with the construction work and poor health and security measures. The workers of the construction industry in India reported that a large percentage of the employees did not receive pr oper training. In addition, the work practices have hardly been developed. This results in increased number of injuries and fatalities. The research project on the current topic enhanced my knowledge in the different field. I must mention that I have the opportunity to develop my knowledge in construction management, which was entirely different field since I was not aware of the operations done in construction work. The secondary data help me to realize that construction industry should focus on their strategies in relation to the management besides risk management. There have been many cases, where the organizations where the organizations are seen to be implementing the risk management strategies very effectively; however, they fail to take appropriate managerial decisions. This is because the common fact that construction industry is one of the biggest industries, which usually deal with the risky and hazardous project. The authors have suggested different strategies to develop a risk-free work environment. One such strategy is the agile strategy, which is implemented by the most of the large organizations in the construction industry. Most interesting part of the research I should mention that the conduction of the study on the construction industry and its health and safety measures have been a great experience for me. One of the biggest reasons is, I have improved my knowledge about the operations generally done the in the construction industry. Apart from the knowledge of construction work, I have also enhanced my knowledge in research techniques. I mention that I was not aware of the research techniques that are usually implemented to conduct the research perfectly. However, after going through the books of research methodology I have gained an understanding about the research methodology. Thereby, I made the analysis of research techniques to identify the appropriate and suitable techniques. I have observed the selection of research methodology is one of the significant things as the outcome of the research largely depends on the selected research methodology. In such a case, I had to take help from my supervisor. My supervisor guides me to select the research methodology. With his contribution, I have designed the appropriate research techniques for my research. Initially, I was in the dilemma of choosing the data analysis in between primary and secondary. After making several attempts and experimentation, I have selected secondary research analysis. There are some particular reasons behind choosing secondary research analysis. I wanted to conduct the research intensively considering all aspects of construction industry such as work, operation, workers, growth, employee safety and security strategies. Thus, the analysis of those aspects might not have been appropriate for primary analysis. It was necessary to go in detail. Hence, the most interesting part of the researc h was to collect the data for secondary analysis. I have read multiple types books, journals, success stories on magazines, newspapers. I have discovered the aspects associated with constructions that are probably not known to all. There are many people hardly have knowledge about the aspects associated with construction work. I find this interesting as I discovered how the construction industry is managed. I was excited when I received all data for analysis. I have found that many authors have put their argumentative opinions on health and safety measure. The collection of data helps to learn the organizations in Australian construction industry have concerned with health and safety measures for the workers. I observed that leadership is one of the important things to deal with any challenge. Especially, in the construction industry, it is highly required as there is known fact that construction industry mostly experiences an increased rate of employee turnover. Workers are the major resource of an organization; thereby, it is important to retain the workers for the productivity of the organizations as well as for human development. Hence, leadership plays an important role in managing the workplace. I think leadership should also be merged with community development along organizational development. The role of leaders in social work could help people to understand the value of development. As a result, people end up putting more effort on their work. Hence, I realized that leaders need to be careful about the safety and security of the workers. The workers should e provided with required health and safety measures, as it is evident that workers in construction work mostly deal with risky and hazardous operations. The workers may leave the job due to the fact of poor health and safety measures. It is the responsibility of the organizations to implement the health and safety measures to save their workers accidents and fatalities. Thus, I mention that collection of secondary information immensely helped me to develop my own understanding regarding the segments of the construction industry. The collection secondary data also help me to realize construction industry is dynamic in nature, as the operations done in this field do not follow the existing trend for a long time. I think the organizations both small and large in the construction industry should pay more attention to their workers by considering them as the major aspect of the organizations. Besides, the collection of secondary data helps me to realize that the construction industry in India should focus on providing the necessary health and safety measures such personal protective equipment. However, in the data findings, I realized that there health and safety measures that are usually done by the organizations in the construction industry in Australia are implemented by the organizations in India as well. However, I realized that due to some influential factors such as the unstable economy, the unfavorable political environment the organizations in Indian construction industry are not able to implement the health and safety measures properly. Thus, with the help of secondary data, I found the distinctions between the construction industry in India and Australia. Apart from these two countries, there have been other developing countries such as China, UK and Hong Kong. Challenges I faced The successful completion of the project makes me remind the amount of effort I have put in the work. Initially, I felt hopeless regarding the execution of the project as I was lacking the appropriate source of data to work on the thesis. The construction industry is one of the broadest industries and this was lingering in the mind. I was dealing with the anxiety in my mind as I stuck in the middle of the research due to lack of confidence. At the first phase of the research, I was confused with certain things such research techniques, valid sources of data, the appropriate structure of the research. I increased the level of anxiety since I did have poor knowledge in the above-mentioned aspects. However, these aspects are extremely important to conduct as well direct the research towards a particular destination. Another significant challenge was the implementation of secondary research. It is evident that secondary research requires a high level of care and attention at it is usually a wide format. From the secondary source of information, I have realized that authors mainly focus on primary analysis. This is because the fact that the conduction of the search emerges with a comprehensive outcome if a secondary research is intensively conducted. However, in the case of my research, I have gone through the techniques of both primary and secondary research. After dealing with several dilemmas, I concluded that secondary research helps me to gain the desired outcome from the research. I have gathered the information from the secondary source of information but it appears to be difficult at the time of conducting the analysis. There have been multiple types of formats associated with the secondary data analysis. Again, I faced the dilemma of choosing the right format of secondary analysis. There was an anxiety in my mind, which was making me nervous. While delving into the secondary source of information I observed that many studies fail to acquire desired results due to improper selection secondary data analysis. This fact decreased the level of my confidence. On the contrary, at the time of discussing the results, I faced difficulties in linking the results with the prepared objectives of the research. In addition, while concluding the thesis, I had to represent the objectives along with the secondary information; there I was required to make a correlation among the data, objectives and findings. Since health and safety measures at the workplace are one of the important aspects, I have hesitation in providing the recommendation aligning with the data findings. Thus, I could not rely on the selected solutions that I was supposed to provide at the end of the thesis. However, after making sev eral attempt I ended up suggesting the solutions that I would elaborate in the next phase of the analysis How do I overcome the challenges? As I discussed above I faced multiple challenges at each phase of the thesis; thus, to deal with those challenges I have also applied certain strategies. In the introductory chapter of the research, I paid more the attention in preparing the rationale of the research, since I knew proper rationale could help me to prepare the aim and objectives of the research. The objective is one of the important aspects of the thesis, which required to be carefully managed. Thereafter, I prepared the research questions aligning with the hypothesis of the research. After preparing these aspects, I found it easy to form the dissertation structure, which indicates me how the research is going toward the desired direction. I also identified the research problems as the identification of the issues help to carry forward the research to the next stage, which was the review of the literature. While preparing the literature review I found different argumentative statements put forward by the authors in th e previous research. This helps me to deal with the research problems found the in the introductory stage of the thesis. I made the comparison in between the issues of my current research and the data findings provide in the previous studies regarding the health and safety measures in health and safety measures at the workplace in the construction industry. Thus, I have gone through multiple types of journals in relation to health and safety measures applied in the construction industry. I must mention that literature review plays a significant role in developing the role in conducting the secondary data analysis. I found out certain gaps in the previous studies that help me to conduct my current study. Moreover, by considering the gaps in the previous researches, I am able to meet the requirement of current thesis. However, I faced some difficulties in preparing the secondary research. My supervisor resolves the difficulties. My supervisor helped me to select the right format of secondary data analysis. Thus, I gain the meet all requirements of the research. The collected the journals and researched the validity of those data. Likewise, I emphasized on certain aspects of those journal regarding health and safety in construction work. Some significant aspects are such as compliance with the regulations, economical factor, and favorable environment that have the major influence in construction projects. The thematic analysis in the literature review helps me to conduc t the research more effectively with requirements. I believe that by performing a thematic analysis it is easy to point certain necessary aspect of the thesis rather conducting a secondary study. I believe while implementing a descriptive study one may not be able to cover all the areas of the research, as the descriptive research techniques are broad in nature and time-consuming. Another challenge was the selection of research methodology that gave several headaches, as the research methodology should always be proper and appropriate. The selection of research methodology helps to predict the outcome. However, I resolved the problem by going through each of the types involved in the techniques. I must mention the model of research onion gave me an idea regarding how I proceed with the techniques. With the help of research onion model, I selected the research philosophy, which suits the secondary research philosophy. Likewise, I went ahead with research approach, design and data collection. As I was sure about the sure about the secondary data analysis in the initial stage of the research, the selection of data collection did not give me much of the troubles. However, the ethical consideration was also a major concern in the research methodology. I had to go through certain n ethical issues such as confidentiality of data, organizations, and people involved in the research process. I had to take the permission from the management of the organization. However, it was not easy to convince the heads of the organizations as no organization prefers to be disclosed in public. Nevertheless, the approval form signed my professor of my university made them understand. In addition, I ensured that the data is only collected for the academic purpose. Thereafter, I also had to deal with the issues of data analysis, as it is evident that secondary analysis is an in-depth process. The secondary analysis requires time; thus, I had to hold my patience at the time of presenting the data in a comprehensive manner. I failed a number of times while presenting the data. After several attempts, I put the data with table and graphs. The representation of the dat a helps me to point out in certain areas of research that are further analyzed in the discussion. Based on the discussion made in the fourth stage I prepared the solutions against the issues found regarding health and safety measures at the workplace in the construction industry. However, I must mention there have been certain limitations that I had to consider while conducting the study. One of the major limitations I faced is the comparative study in between Australia and India. I could have conducted the research considering the scenario of other countries such as UK and China. Another limitation I dealt with was the selection of research data analysis. I had to choose either secondary data analysis or primary data analysis. However, I conduct the research including both primary as well as secondary data analysis; the outcome of the research would have been more appropriate and effective. Application of knowledge Again, I say the completion of the study gave a large amount of satisfaction since I enhanced my knowledge in both academic and management study. The knowledge gained from the completion of the research, I could apply in my course. There are certain aspects developed in the research such as time management could help me to prepare the study. I had poor knowledge in time management but I had to complete this research within a given deadline. However, this surely helps me to take further preparation to complete my course. In addition to this, research techniques used in the study could help me to prepare the further project of my study. I also developed my knowledge in decision-making skills. I had poor knowledge in taking the right decision for my life, my career. In the middle of this study, I was stuck with the data analysis. I could not select the research methodology. However, I decided after going into the details of both the methodologies I ended up taking the right decision. Thus, this technique could help me to take further decision. In addition, I must add that the selection of research methodology also increased my ability to judge the effectiveness of research techniques. Lastly, I mention that the current research immensely helped me to gain experience in different segments of strategic management.
